News Group : Envision will set up an electric battery factory in Douai(29 June 2021)

The Envision Group, parent company of Velocita Energies, will set up its battery factory for Renault’s electric cars in Douai. The group will invest 2 billion euros in this gigafacroty that will produce 9 GWh of batteries per year. The creation of 1,000 local jobs are planned by 2024 and 2,500 by 2030.

Since 2016, Velocita Energies has been part of the Envision Group, a leader in the Greentech sector specialized in wind power, batteries and digital solutions to accelerate the energy transition. Envision is notably the 4th largest wind turbine manufacturer in the world with over 11,000 machines installed.
